Snapvoice ("the app") is developed by DBDSoft to help independent contractors turn photos of handwritten job notes and receipts into professional invoices and estimates. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with.
The app uses your device's camera only when you actively choose to scan a document or take a job photo. It never accesses the camera in the background.
When you scan a handwritten note, receipt, or whiteboard, the photo is sent to one of the following third-party AI services to extract line items, client details, and totals:
These providers process the image to return structured text back to the app. If the app is offline or both services are unavailable, extraction happens entirely on your device instead, using Google's ML Kit, and no photo leaves your device in that case.
Requests to these services are routed through a server we control, so our credentials are never stored on your device, and are authenticated using Google's Firebase App Check to confirm the request came from a genuine copy of this app. That intermediary server does not store your photos or extracted data.
If you use the "Send signing link" feature, the estimate's details (business name, client name, line items, and total) are stored in Google Firestore so your client can view and sign it from a web link. This document is not indexed or searchable, but anyone with the link can view it. If you don't use this feature, no invoice data is stored outside your device.
Paid subscriptions are processed entirely by Google Play Billing; the app does not collect or see your payment card details. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status from Google Play.
The app does not process client payments directly. Any payment instructions you add in Settings (e.g. Venmo, Zelle, Cash App handles) are shown to your clients on the invoice as plain text — actual payment happens outside the app, directly between you and your client.
Your invoices, client records, and photos are stored locally on your device (and in Google Firestore only for signing links you've explicitly created) for as long as you keep them in the app. Deleting an invoice or estimate in the app removes its local data. Data associated with a signing link can be deleted at any time, by either party — the contractor can delete it from the invoice screen in the app ("Delete signing request"), and the client can delete it directly from the signing page itself ("Delete my data"). No account or request process is needed for either. You can also always contact us at the email below.
This app is intended for business use by adults (independent contractors) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13, or the relevant age of digital consent in your country.
We may update this policy as the app changes. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
